The Basics of Information Architecture
Led by one of Adaptive Path's Senior User Experience Designers, Chiara Fox.
Led by Chiara Fox, user experience designer and information architect, this 60-minute virtual seminar covers all the basics of what information architecture is and how to practice it. This seminar is for anyone new to the field of information architecture who is looking to get a broad overview of the ideas and methods of IA.
So, what is information architecture? It’s is the art and science of structuring and organizing information systems to help people achieve their goals. It’s about the right person finding the right information at the right time. You can’t use it if you can’t find it!
IA is part of the larger field of user experience. It pays special attention to the content a person is engaging with and the tasks they are trying to accomplish, and seeks to facilitate what they are doing, given the specific business context.
